John Wisniewski, age 67, passed away on March 12, 2026, with his wife, Ging, by his side. He was born on October 24, 1958, in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Graduated from Cretin Highschool in 1976 . John lived a life rooted in love for his wife and family, along with a deep passion for travel
John is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Ging (LaCondeza) his sisters, Kathy Tschida and Chris Wisniewski; his aunt, Jeanette Miller (Hamilton) and many nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard and Patricia; his sister, Pamela Homuth; and his brothers-in-law, Earl Homuth and Jack Tschida.
John worked for 36 years at City Center. He started working there in 1986 in security and moved on to heating and air conditioning maintenance in 1989 where he formed close bonds and made lifelong friends.
Those who knew John will remember his sense of humor, his willingness to help anyone who asked, and his love of travel, especially anywhere near the ocean or a lake. He had a special love for the Philippine Islands, along with his Filipino family, friends, and food. John was an avid sports fan who enjoyed football, baseball, and of course, hockey. He always looked forward to the Tschida football parties. He was also known for washing his car every week, sitting in the sun for hours, and grilling everything possible on his Traeger.
John will be deeply missed by his wife, family, and friends.
A Visitation will be held on May 8, 2026, at 10 AM Central Time at Guardian Angels Catholic Church 8260 4th Street North in Oakdale. Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM. Please join us immediately following for a light lunch in the reception hall.
