John Allen Yandell, 86, of Edmond, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2025. He was born on January 13, 1939, in Antlers, Oklahoma.
John's life was defined by his deep love for his family, his affectionate teasing that brought laughter into everyday moments, and his passion for woodworking and model building—skills he practiced with patience, precision, and pride. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose steady presence and quiet strength shaped the lives of those around him.
John shared 62 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Elizabeth Ann Yandell, building a life grounded in love, faith, and unwavering commitment.
He retired from Tinker Air Force Base, where he was employed for many years as a jet engine mechanic, taking great pride in his work and dedication. John was also a faithful member of the Waterloo Church of the Nazarene.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, Ricky Allen Yandell, and his daughter, Pamela Washington of Edmond, Oklahoma.
John is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann Yandell of Edmond, Oklahoma; his daughters Lisa Hayden, Linda Ault, and Jaimee March, all of Edmond, Oklahoma; Kim Parham of Fort Worth, Texas; and Elizabeth Johnston of Moore, Oklahoma. He was a proud grandfather to eighteen much-loved grandchildren and was also blessed with many great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
