MSgt John Irl Zondor (Ret.), born September 2, 1955, passed away on January 12, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the son of Jo Helen and John Zondor, and brother to James “Jim” Zondor, Richard Zondor, and the late David Zondor.
John is survived by his two daughters and five cherished grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life. He is also lovingly remembered by his extended family, including many nieces, nephews, and relatives who all held a special place in his heart.
John honorably served his country in the United States Air Force for 20 years, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. His career included deployments to Korea and assignments at Nellis Air Force Base and Mountain Home Air Force Base. Following his active-duty service, he continued his career at Tinker Air Force Base, where he later retired.
John had a love for ice hockey and was a loyal fan of the OU Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed traveling, sharing stories, and spending time with family and friends. He was a friend to many and valued the sense of peace and community he found at St. Andrews Church in Moore.
He leaves behind a legacy of service, devotion, and lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
