Jon Arthur Coble

Jon Arthur Coble, 64, of Glen Allen, Virginia, passed away suddenly on October 3, 2025. Larger than life, full of warmth, and ever-optimistic, Jon lived each day with joy, purpose, and an unshakable love for family and discovery.

Born on November 11, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, Jon's life was marked early on by curiosity and an adventurous spirit. His family's international moves took him from California and Texas to Holland, then London, where he graduated from the American School. His global upbringing shaped his boundless curiosity and openness to the world—a hallmark of the man he would become.

Jon pursued higher education with characteristic drive. He earned his bachelor's degree in economics from Occidental College, where he met the love of his life, Jane. Later, he completed an MBA in quantitative analysis at Carnegie Mellon University, a decision that propelled him into a dynamic and far-reaching career.

Jon's professional life was a testament to his intellect, passion for problem-solving, and innate leadership. His early work ignited his fascination with business strategy and innovation, initially taking him to South Africa. It was there that Jon and Jane welcomed their daughter, Nicole, into the world. Next, Jon's career took the family to Illinois where he and Jane welcomed their second daughter, Rachel. Later, Capital One recruited him to Virginia, where his vision and energy drove growth and innovation in marketing strategy.

Yet it was his entrepreneurial spirit that defined his final professional chapter: founding GOGO Band, a pioneering medical device company poised to make a profound difference in people's lives. As CEO, Jon poured his creativity and determination into turning vision into reality—and even in his final days, he was actively engaged in advancing the company's mission to transform care and well-being worldwide.

Beyond his professional achievements, Jon's personal life reflected the values he held dearest—family, faith, and friendship. He cherished time spent with loved ones, found joy in cooking and sharing meals, and nurtured a lifelong passion for reading and collecting rare books. His curiosity was boundless; his laughter filled every room; and his stories, often punctuated by wit and wisdom, reminded everyone that life is meant to be lived fully.

Jon is survived by his devoted wife, Jane Coble, their beloved daughters, Nicole Coble and Rachel Shaver, his son-in-law Eric Shaver, granddaughter Millie, soon-to-be son-in-law Parker Wilf, brothers Keith, Neal, and Scott Coble, and sister Kim Massongill. His parents Hugh and Connie Coble preceded him into The Father's arms. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he brightened with his steadfast optimism, compassion, and contagious spirit.
