Jonathan Siegel, born on January 31,1958, passed away peacefully on February 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family at his home in Framingham, MA, after a courageous battle with glioblastoma. He faced his diagnosis the way he lived his life — with pride, quiet strength, unwavering poise, and deep gratitude for the people around him.

Jon leaves behind his devoted wife and steadfast partner of 38 years, Deanna Michaelson; his beloved children, Rachel Marshall (Siegel) and her husband, John Marshall, and Zachary Siegel; his cherished fur babies, Bo, Zoe, and Ziggy; his brother, Steven Siegel and wife, Theresa St. John-Siegel; his sister, Nancy Minerva (Siegel) and husband, Chris Minerva; and his loving nieces and nephews. Together, they were the center of his world.

Jon and Deanna built a life rooted in loyalty, resilience, and unconditional love. Their partnership was one of deep companionship — steady through life’s celebrations and its storms.

He was a proud and adoring father, his children’s biggest fan and constant presence on the sidelines. He cheered loudly, believed fiercely, and loved without limits. He supported his children not only in their successes but through their recovery journeys, always offering strength, hope, and the reassurance that they were never alone.

For 41 years, Jon rode in the Pan-Mass Challenge with Team Huckleberry, dedicating himself to raising money for cancer research. What began as a commitment became a legacy — one defined by compassion, grit, and community. Even after his own cancer diagnosis, his belief in the mission never wavered. He had spent decades pedaling for others; in a cruel twist of fate, he became a patient himself. Yet he continued to inspire, embodying the same determination he brought to every mile. His commitment to the PMC was not just about riding it, it was about fighting for a world where fewer families face the pain of cancer. In honor of Jon’s legacy, donations may be made in his memory at PMC.org/RS0242.

Outside of cycling, Jon found joy in the simple and meaningful rhythms of life. He was an avid beekeeper, tending to his hives with patience and fascination, finding his belief in a higher power through the quiet beauty of nature’s industry. He loved long walks in Callahan State Park, with his dogs Calli (remembered) and Bo trotting beside him along the trails. He valued time outdoors, time with his family, and time well spent.

Jon carried himself with humility and steadiness. He was the kind of man who showed up — consistently, positively, reliably. He was deeply grateful for the circle of family and friends who surrounded him, especially during his final chapter. That love grounded him, and he met it with grace.

In addition to his immediate family, Jon leaves behind extended family, dear friends, Team Huckleberry, his support group, and an expansive community touched by his generosity, strength, and heart.

Jon’s legacy lives on in every mile ridden for a cure, every hive tended with care, every trail walked in reflection, and every life strengthened by his encouragement.
And in the hearts of those who love him, some of his last words remain true:
“I’m always with you.”
