Jose Manuel Diaz Guajardo, born on August 7, 1961, passed away on March 20, 2026, at the age of 64. He tragically lost his life in a car accident while on his way to be with his family in Cuatro Ciénegas, Coahuila.

Jose was born in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico, and spent his early years growing up in Matamoros, Tamaulipas and Brownsville, Texas. He attended school in Matamoros, where he studied at La Salle. Much of his adult life was spent in Monterrey, Nuevo León, before he made San Antonio, Texas his home for the past 22 years.

He will be greatly missed by his children, Gabriela Diaz Morales, Jose Ricardo Diaz Morales and his wife Megan McBrearty Diaz, his cherished grandchildren, Amelia Grace, Jude Rafael, and Levi Santiago Diaz; as well as the mother of his children, Laura Gabriela Morales Leal. He is also survived by his stepmother, Maria Concepcion Carrero Carballido; his siblings Luz Maria Diaz Guajardo, Miguel Angel Diaz Guajardo, Tere Alicia Diaz Guajardo, Carlos Alberto Bruce, Natalia Montalvo, and Ana Diaz Carrero; his 13 nieces and nephews and countless dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jose Antonio Diaz Chacon and his mother Teresita Alicia Guajardo Zertuche.

Jose will be remembered as a man of extraordinary generosity, always willing to give his time, energy, and talents to anyone in need. He had a remarkable ability to fix almost anything—whether it was a car, a home project, or something in the garden. Working with his hands was not just a skill, but a reflection of his care for others. Jose also had a gift for connection. He made friends wherever he went and maintained those friendships with genuine care.

Above all, Jose loved his family deeply. He created lasting memories with his children through camping trips, road trips, laughter, and the simple joy of being together. He cherished traveling to Monterrey and Saltillo to stay connected to his roots and to spend time with those he loved most.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

José Manuel Díaz Guajardo, nacido el 7 de agosto de 1961, falleció el 20 de marzo de 2026 a la edad de 64 años. Perdió la vida trágicamente en un accidente automovilístico mientras se dirigía a reunirse con su familia en Cuatro Ciénegas, Coahuila.

José nació en Saltillo, Coahuila, México, y pasó sus primeros años creciendo en Matamoros, Tamaulipas and Brownsville, Texas. Cursó sus estudios en Matamoros, donde asistió al colegio La Salle. Gran parte de su vida adulta la vivió en Monterrey, Nuevo León, antes de establecer su hogar en San Antonio, Texas, donde residió durante los últimos 22 años.

Le sobreviven sus hijos, Gabriela Díaz Morales, José Ricardo Díaz Morales y su esposa Megan McBrearty Díaz; sus queridos nietos, Amelia Grace, Jude Rafael y Levi Santiago Díaz; así como la madre de sus hijos, Laura Gabriela Morales Leal. También le sobreviven su madrastra, María Concepción Carrero Carballido; sus hermanos Luz María Díaz Guajardo, Miguel Ángel Díaz Guajardo, Tere Alicia Díaz Guajardo, Carlos Alberto Bruce, Natalia Montalvo y Ana Díaz Carrero; sus 13 sobrinos y sobrinas, además de incontables amigos entrañables. Le precedieron en fallecimiento su padre, José Antonio Díaz Chacón, y su madre, Teresita Alicia Guajardo Zertuche.

José será recordado como un hombre de extraordinaria generosidad, siempre dispuesto a brindar su tiempo, energía y talentos a quien lo necesitara. Tenía una habilidad notable para arreglar casi cualquier cosa, ya fuera un automóvil, un proyecto del hogar o algo en el jardín. Trabajar con sus manos no solo era una destreza, sino un reflejo de su cariño por los demás. También tenía un don especial para conectar con la gente: hacía amistades dondequiera que iba y las mantenía con un afecto genuino.

Por encima de todo, José amaba profundamente a su familia. Creó recuerdos inolvidables con sus hijos a través de viajes de campamento, paseos por carretera, risas y la sencilla alegría de estar juntos. Disfrutaba viajar a Monterrey y Saltillo para mantenerse cercano a sus raíces y convivir con sus seres queridos.

Será profundamente extrañado y siempre recordado.

Una Misa Funeral se celebrará el 13 de abril de 2026 a las 6:30 PM en St. Luke Catholic Church, ubicada en 4603 Manitou Dr, San Antonio, TX 78228.
