Joseph “Joe” Armenta, 71, of Goodyear, Arizona, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2026. Born on December 2, 1954, in Phoenix, Joe was a lifelong Arizonan whose life both began and ended in the state he proudly called home.
Joe was a graduate of Carl Hayden High School, class of 1972, and went on to build a career in finance. He put his heart into everything he did and faced life with quiet determination.
Above all, Joe was a devoted son, brother, father, grandfather and dog dad to Eegee and Badger.
He is lovingly remembered by his mother Arminda Armenta; longtime companion, Susan Rojas Sanford; his children, Tino Armenta (49), Desirae Flores (45), and Alexis Armenta (41) and his cherished grandchildren - Ryder, Kai, Tristan, Jayda, Nathaniel, Ivy, Iris, Gia, and Mateo who brought him immense pride and joy.
Joe had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He loved spending time on the golf course, traveling with Susan, and enthusiastically cheering on his grandchildren at their sporting events. He approached life with a light heart and a resilient spirit, always able to find humor even in life’s challenging moments.
Joe had a remarkable ability to see the good in others and was happiest when surrounded by those he loved and when the Cardinals were winning!
A man of faith, Joe regularly attended Purpose Church and strived to carry his Christian beliefs with him in the way he lived with kindness, compassion and gratitude.
Joe will be remembered as a loving and caring man whose warmth, laughter, and generous spirit touched many lives. His rich sense of humor and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
