Joseph C. Millonzi of Chicago, IL age 92, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026 surrounded by his family. He was born in 1933 and was the youngest of five children. Joseph lived a full and vibrant life dedicated to his family, his craft, and his passions.
Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 70 years, Beverly (Spejcher), with whom he built a lifetime of cherished memories. He was the loving father of Sandra (Richard) Mozack and Joseph (Pamela) Millonzi. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Joseph (Katie), Robert (Aleksandra) Millonzi, Jake (Victoria), Matthew (fiancée Bari), and Sarah (Edvinas) Mozack. He was also a proud great-grandfather to four great-grandchildren and a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Mary Millonzi and siblings: Anthony (Nadine), Roy (Theresa) Millonzi, Angela (Nicholas) Perrino, and Christine (Peter) Pitassi.
Joseph pursued a long and distinguished career as an electrician, dedicating 74 years to Electrical Union #134. His commitment to his profession reflected his strong work ethic and passion for craftsmanship. Beyond his career, Joseph had a compassionate heart that touched everyone who knew him.
An avid car and motorcycle enthusiast, Joseph found joy in the hum of engines and the thrill of the open road. He also expressed his creativity through canvas oil paintings and model railroads, hobbies that showcased his artistic talents and meticulous attention to detail. Above all else, Joseph was a dedicated family man who found his greatest happiness when we were all together.
Joseph's memory will forever be treasured by those who knew him. May his life serve as an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to share in it.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at St. Monica Church (5136 N. Nottingham; Chicago, IL 60656). A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the same location. Interment to follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery.
