Joseph "Joe" Perdick, 75, adored husband of Jennifer "Jeanie" (Paly) Perdick for over 53 years, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on January 26, 2026.

A 1968 graduate of Whitehall High School, he faithfully attended many Class reunions and functions. Joe was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War in the 62nd Engineer Battalion from 1970 to 1971 where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. Following his Active Duty, he enlisted in the Army Reserves, where he served for over 30 years and earned the rank of Master Sergeant. There, he was awarded an Army Achievement Medal and Army Commendation Medal; he retired in 2010.

Joe was an operating engineer and was a loyal member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 542, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for over 40 years. His work ethic was unmatched.

Outside of work, he had many hobbies and interests. He was truly a jack of all trades and was the go-to person for many friends and family in need of car or home repairs. If it was broken, he could fix it. His garage is filled with any tool you can imagine. He loved classic cars, particularly his '57 Chevy, which he meticulously restored. He was an outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing in Bradford County. He was an avid NASCAR fan, and enjoyed races at Maple Grove Raceway and other tracks. He was a loyal fan of the New York Yankees and Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.

Joe was a skilled woodworker who eventually purchased his own sawmill so that he could build from some of the many trees on his beautiful property. He loved spending time with his children & grandchildren, and was a devoted friend to many.

He was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where he volunteered at their annual church picnic for many years. He loved animals, and has yard full of bird and deer feeders. He cherished his grand-dogs and cat, and they loved him tremendously in return.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jeanie, sons Jason and Matthew (Cathy); daughter Jenel Davis (Garry); grandchildren Rhys Davis, Ryan Davis and Nathanael Perdick; brothers Richard Perdick, John Perdick (Susan) and Robert Perdick (Lenny Smith); sisters Kathleen Heller (Jeff) and Virginia Kotz (Gary) and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Lewis and Helen (Strisovsky); brothers Laurence and Lewis Perdick, and sister MaryAnn Holst.

His family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire Lehigh Valley Hospice team for their wonderful and dedicated care of Joe.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Msgr. Daniel J. Yenushosky on Friday January 30, 2026 at 11:00 am in Holy Trinity Catholic Church 4456 Main Street Whitehall, PA 18052, where his family will receive guests beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Entombment with Military Honors will follow in Blessed Virgin Mary Mausoleum Northampton.
