Joseph, known to all as Joe, dedicated his life to service and kindness. Shortly after graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country as a Medical Specialist for three years. His time in the military left a lasting impact on him and fostered a deep connection with fellow veterans. Joe cherished spending time at the American Legion, where he found camaraderie and shared stories with others who had served.
After his military service, Joe embarked on a meaningful career at the VA Hospital, where he worked for 25 years. His dedication to supporting veterans through his work reflected his compassionate nature and commitment to helping others.
Joe had a profound love for music, particularly classic rock. He found joy in playing the guitar which brought him peace and happiness. Music was not just a hobby for Joe; it was a way of expressing himself and connecting with those around him. He also enjoyed spending time with friends, sharing laughter and creating memories that will be cherished by those who knew him.
Joe is survived by his siblings: Julie (David) Flavin, Sharon Wiest, James (Kristen) Wiest, and Jeffrey (Dawn) Wiest. He was predeceased by his parents, Leo and Jacqueline Wiest.
Joe will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul whose warmth touched the lives of many. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
