Joyce Lorae Barton, age 92, passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 23, 2026, in Fountain Valley, California.

Born on January 29, 1934, in Milan, Missouri, to Kenneth and Faye Creason, Joyce lived a life deeply rooted in love and family. Her kindness and warmth touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Joyce shared an extraordinary bond with her devoted husband of 72 years, Dr. Alan Barton. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories. She was a proud and caring mother to her two sons, David and Christopher. Joyce’s love extended to her nine grandchildren—Brent, Kyle, Erica, Heather, Olivia, Ben, Gwen, Abby, and Will and her nine great-grandchildren—Samuel, Lucille, Jacob, Brenn, Gavin, Luke, Cayman, Camille, and Declan.

She was preceded in death by her children, Gregory Alan Barton and Susan Leigh Barton, but carried their memory in her heart throughout her life.

Joyce will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose generosity and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on those around her. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished and the love she shared so freely.

She was laid to rest at Fairhaven Memorial Park in Orange, California. Joyce will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of those who loved her.
