Joyce Carlton (Herdeck), aged 71, passed away on January 4, 2026, in Worcester, MA. Born on March 14, 1954, Joyce lived a life marked by her fun-loving spirit, positivity, and selflessness. Known for her love of family, she was the heart of every gathering, especially renowned for her cookouts and warm hospitality. Joyce's kitchen was a place of love, laughter, and the delicious smells of her cooking, open to anyone in need of a hot meal.
Joyce is survived by her sister, Leah Griffith; daughters, Vanessa Martocchio, Leah White, and Gabby Daniels; son, Erek Martocchio; daughter-in-law, Nichole Morrison; sons-in-law, Jason Libuda and Jonathan Boswell; grandsons, Tylor Morrison, Vincent Martocchio, and Brady Libuda; granddaughters, Brianna Martocchio and Sofia Libuda; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Joyce's family also included her beloved grandcats, Monty, Panda, and Alice. She was preceded in death by her sister, Patricia Caricchio; brother, Michael Lynn; and granddaughter, Ereka Martocchio.
In addition to her culinary passions, Joyce enjoyed coloring in her coloring books, crafting, and spending quality time with her family. These hobbies brought great joy not only to Joyce but also to those who had the pleasure of sharing these moments with her.
A private service will be held for family, honoring Joyce's life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, the family requests privacy during this time of mourning. Joyce's memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who loved her.
