Joyce Christine Campbell, 74, passed away on January 23, 2026, in nursing care at Kendall of Ithaca, New York. Joyce was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 31, 1951, to John H. and Beatrice M. Campbell. She graduated from Detroit's Cooley High School in 1969. She went on to earn a BFA in dance from Indiana University and an MA in choreography from New York University. Joyce was a faculty member of the Kutztown University Dance Department in Kutztown, Pennsylvania for nearly thirty years.
In addition to her passion for teaching ballet, Joyce enjoyed gardening, reading and caring for pets. In retirement she pursued learning Scottish Gaelic to celebrate her heritage. As an avid supporter of environmental causes, she resided at EcoVillage in Ithaca.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband Kim Goldman, sister Laura (Tom) Chilis, nieces Jessica (Andy) Styx and Jane Johnston, and several grandnieces/grandnephews as well as numerous cousins. She is preceded in death by her father John Campbell, her mother Beatrice Campbell, and her brother John (Jack) Campbell, Jr.
