Joyce Marie Hudak, age 74, passed away on April 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She was born on January 30, 1952, and was the beloved daughter of the late William P. Hudak and Esther Jane (Stone) Hudak.
Joyce lived a life full of curiosity, hard work, and a sense of wonder that never dimmed. She held several careers, first as a welder with U.S. Steel, and later as a social worker — but her true magic came alive during her long career with The Walt Disney Company. Joyce was “everything Mickey,” except when it came to Tinker Bell, who held a special corner of her heart. During her years with Disney, she gathered lifelong friends who shared her love for the joy, imagination, and enchantment she found there.
The only thing she cherished more than her work was sharing that magic with her family. Taking her nieces and nephews to Walt Disney World as often as she could brought her immeasurable joy. It was, without question, her happiest place — the place where her smile shone brightest, and the memories she created there will forever shimmer in the hearts of those she loved.
Joyce made friends wherever she went, and once you were her friend, you were family. She welcomed people — and their entire families — with open arms. She lit up every room she entered, the life of the party, community minded yet always centered on family. She was a steady presence, a source of tough love delivered with deep care, a true mother hen who fiercely protected the people she loved.
Joyce is survived by her nieces Carrie A. Hudak, Dana L. Levenson, and JaneAnn Marie Grimes; her nephew William J. Hudak; her great nephews Manuel G. Stoupis and Maverick J. Madeya; as well as extended family and an army of friends who adored her.
She was preceded in death by her brothers William E. Hudak and Robert P. Hudak; her sisters Gladys A. Hudak and Theresa J. Hudak; and her great nephew Daniel J. Ling.
Joyce’s legacy is one of laughter, loyalty, and unwavering love. She moved through the world trailing her own kind of pixie dust — bright, joyful, and impossible to miss, an extraordinary reminder that a little bit of magic can go a very long way. She believed the best things in life are the people we love, the places we’ve been, and the memories we’ve made along the way. A celebration of Joyce’s life will be announced at a later date.
“Laughter is timeless, imagination has no age, and dreams are forever.” — Walt Disney
