Joyce Ann Hunter age 61 of Gary, In. transitioned on Thursday, November 13th, 2025, after a brief fight with Cancer. She is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jim and Essie "Q " Bray of Grenada, Ms. Paternal grandmother Susanna Harrington. Her father Carey "Lucky" Hunter and only brother Carey "Lew" Hunter of Gary, In. Nephew Anthony, great niece Shamiah, and her granddaughter Lailah Joy all of Gary, In. 5 aunts, 2 uncles, and 2 cousins.
She leaves to cherish her memories her fiancé Lamar "LJ" Stewart of Gary, In. Her mother Maggie Lee "Mun" Hunter, sisters JoAnn, Linda, Angela "Tolu" Hunter all of Gary, In. Her son Antonio "Squirt" Young of Rochester, Mn. Daughters LaToyia "Granny" Young, Donnella "Pooh" Hunter both of Gary, In. A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and one great grandson.
