It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Joyce “Joy” Ann Kellem, 69, of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Monday, March 9, 2026. A beacon of love, grace, and kindness, her life was a testament to joy and an unwavering spirit. Born on February 28, 1957, Joyce was a beloved member of her community and a respected employee of Mellon Bank for nearly 40 years. Her family was her greatest pride and joy. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Ulysses Count Holloway; her stepfather, Willie Johnson; and her beloved husband, Charlie Kellem.

Joyce is survived by her loving son, Chaz Kellem, and his wife, Laura; her devoted mother, Kathleen Holloway-Johnson; her cherished sister, Patricia Holloway; her stepson, Joel (Laurie) Kellem; and numerous extended family members and dear friends who will miss her deeply. Joyce treasured time with her family and took great joy in capturing their moments together through photographs, preserving a lifetime of laughter, love, and cherished memories. She was a gifted cook, famous for her legendary taco salad and her love for a good cheeseburger. A true enthusiast of life, Joyce had a passion for loud music, dancing, movies, and adventure. A dedicated Pittsburgher, her loyalty to the Steelers never wavered.

Joyce was baptized and a member of Bethlehem Temple Church. Joyce’s love for Christ kept her strong in her faith in word and in action always saying, “God knows what he is doing ,” no matter what she encountered.

Joyce will be remembered for her kindness, special spirit, and the warm smile and wisdom she shared with everyone. Her legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with friends and family.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, March 18, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Spriggs-Watson Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 19, at 11:00 a.m.
