Beloved Author, Holistic Psychotherapist, Educator, and Inspirational Voice

It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to Judith Anne Desjardins, a therapist, author and radiant soul who touched countless lives with her wisdom, compassion, and courageous spirit.
Born in Colorado Springs December 21, 1943, Judith dedicated her life to helping others live with greater meaning, strength, and self-understanding. For more than five decades she maintained a holistic psychotherapy practice in Santa Monica, blending deep emotional insight with a spiritual embrace of the full human experience. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board-Certified Diplomate in Clinical Social Work, Judith worked tirelessly to encourage resilience and trust in God's plan while we face life's most difficult challenges.
An award-winning author and publisher, Judith founded Spirit House Publishing in 2009 with a mission to teach, uplift and enlighten. Her first book, "Creating a Healthy Life and Marriage", won multiple awards in both the United States and Canada, while her later work, "Our Journey with Prostate Cancer", became a guiding light for patients and families confronting serious illness.
Judith embraced the digital world with the same adventurous spirit that defined her career. In her 70s she began sharing her life and experiences on YouTube, quickly building an audience moved by her authenticity, practical knowledge, insight, and generosity of spirit. Her website will continue to teach and inspire. www.HolisticCancerRecoveryHub.com
Those who knew her remember her for so much more than her professional accomplishments. She carried a vibrant presence — a warm voice and infectious laugh that could brighten any room, even through a screen. We will miss her unguarded playfulness and joyful dancing, the eclectic, creative environments she carefully curated and vibrant, unique personal style, and the endless beauty of her gardens and treasures found in her little free library. Her delicious cooking nourished both body and heart and many sought her sage advice when life's path felt uncertain. Her indomitable spirit, even through illness, was a testament to her resilience and grace.
Judith is survived by her beloved husband Sherwyn Drucker, son Andre Desjardins, daughter Danielle Hamel, son-in-law Ron Hamel, daughter-in-law Nikki Desjardins, grandson Beau Hamel, and granddaughter Cali Desjardins, along with a community of friends, neighbors, readers, clients, and colleagues whose lives were transformed by her presence.
Judith's legacy lives on in every soul she helped feel seen, heard, and understood.
May her spirit be at peace, and her wisdom continue to inspire.
Judith will be laid to rest in the City of Santa Monica Woodlawn Cemetery.
