Judith Anne (Hickoff) Horetsky, 84, of Spring Hill, Florida, passed away on January 31, 2026, after a brief illness. She was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania on January 23, 1942.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Horetsky Jr.; her parents, Albert Wayde and Geraldine L. Hickoff; her brothers, Steven J. Hickoff and Ronald W. Hickoff; and her son, Matthew Wayde Reifer.
Judi lived a long and productive life and was known for her independence, resilience, and strong personality. Along with her husband Paul, she was a co-owner of H&H Shooting Supplies, Middletown, PA and worked for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board in Harrisburg, PA, until her retirement. She approached her work with dedication and carried that same determination throughout her life.
In the late 1980s, Judi relocated to Middletown, Pennsylvania, where she spent many years and developed meaningful friendships. She especially enjoyed her time “on the river", a place that brought her relaxation and joy while surrounded by friends and family. She found happiness with her second husband, Paul, with whom she shared many years until his passing in 2006.
In 2013, Judi fulfilled a lifelong dream by moving to Florida - a place she had imagined living since childhood and where she planned to enjoy her retirement years. She embraced life there, tending her flowers, enjoying travel, particularly cruises departing from Tampa, as well as visits with friends and family.
Judi loved to cook and enjoyed gathering people together, finding joy in shared meals and conversation. She loved to read, listen to Doo-Wop music and hang out at the beach. She had a deep affection for animals, a natural kindness toward strangers, and a personality marked by generosity, honesty, and a touch of sass that those who knew her will always remember.
She is survived by her children, Tom, Kristen, and Jim, and their families.
Judi will be remembered for living life on her own terms and will be greatly missed by those whose lives she touched.
In her memory, donations to local animal shelters are appreciated.
A memorial service to honor Judi will be held at a later date.
