Send Flowers Plant A Tree
Judith Kay Schroeder, (Hays), passed away on January 12th, 2026. Judy kicked off her life's parade on May 11th, 1948 in Flint, Michigan and she lived for 77 vibrant years.

A wizard with the scissors and a true maestro with a makeup brush, Judy spent her days as a gifted cosmetologist who knew that a little rouge goes a long way. She had a green thumb who could make roses blush with envy, a bingo queen with the luck of the Irish, and a lover of the slots at the casino. Judy lived life in full bloom. Her home decorating skills were so on point, even Martha Stewart would have taken notes. Let's not forget to mention her love for a fast car with the top down and her hair blowing in the wind.

Her grandchildren knew her as the Candy Dish Keeper where she was always ready with a sweet treat and even sweeter smile. From her kitchen, she served love by the spoonful, and her cherished recipes will be passed down for generations to come.

She was lovingly reunited with her husband, William Schroeder; her sisters Pauline Caldwell and Phyllis McMahon; her brother Ronnie Hays; and her parents, Melvin and Mildred Hays.

Her legacy lives on with four loving children: Valerie Underwood (Golembiewski) and husband Zachary, Paula Mandeville (Golembiewski) and husband Chris, Andrew Golembiewski and wife Lisa and youngest Nina Mattucci. Judy adored her ten grandchildren: Sara, Emily, Nicholas, Meghan, Elizabeth, Amanda, Lynzi, Brandon, Alyssa, and Miya and six great-grandchildren: Zachary, Zoey, Jack, Audrey, Mariana, and Danieko, all of whom will share her memories for years to come. She will also be forever remembered by her sisters Jean Wright, (and her right-hand man Dan), and Arlene Shaffer.

Judy's life was a joyride, with every turn more exciting than the last. So let's not say goodbye - let's just say Judy's taken the scenic route to the next great adventure. After all, she wouldn't have it any other way!

Her life will be celebrated privately with family.
