Judith M. Topper (Sykora)

Judith M. Topper (Sykora), 80, of Mesa, Arizona, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025.

Judy was born February 25, 1945, in Howard Township, Wisconsin, to James and Gladys (Bowe) Sykora. After graduating from Chippewa Falls High School in 1963, she moved to Minneapolis, MN, where she began a career in the insurance industry. On September 9, 1967, she married Marvin Topper. Together they made their home in Bloomington, MN, where they raised their two children, Melissa and Aaron. In retirement, Judy and Marv relocated to Mesa, Arizona.

Judy was an avid duplicate bridge player. She also loved reading, playing bingo, card games with friends and family, and the "occasional" visit to the casino. For many years, Judy shared her talent for crocheting by making afghan blankets, fulfilling countless requests from family and friends.

Judy is survived by her children, Melissa Topper of Phoenix, AZ, and Aaron Topper (Cindy Hucks) of Elk River, MN; grandchildren, Laurel, Westley, Jessica, and Chase Topper; brother, Donald (Darlene) Sykora of Chippewa Falls, WI; sister in law, Fran Sykora of Chippewa Falls, WI; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Topper; her parents; and brother, Bernard Sykora.

A joint celebration of life for both Judy and her husband Marvin will be held at noon on Saturday, June 6, at the Howard Town Hall, 4052 County Highway B (corner of Hwy 40 and B), Colfax, Wisconsin 54730. This will be a potluck event, friends and family are invited to bring a dish to share and their favorite memories.

Marv and Judy will be memorialized together at Big Elk Creek Cemetery in Elk Mound WI.
