Judy's devotion to her family was unwavering—she was the heart of every gathering, the steady hand in times of need, and the joyful spirit who celebrated every milestone. Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her greatest treasures, and she supported them with boundless encouragement and pride. Judy's legacy is woven into the fabric of her family. She delighted in sharing stories and wisdom, always ready with a listening ear and a warm embrace. Her sense of humor could light up any room, and her laughter was the soundtrack to countless family memories. She cherished sing-alongs around the piano, passing on her love of music to generations, and filling her home with harmony and joy. Judy's compassion and generosity extended beyond her family, touching friends, neighbors, and anyone in need. At every gathering, Judy's exceptional cooking brought everyone together—her meals were a true expression of her love.

Judy devoted her life to raising her family and caring for the family farm, embodying resilience and grace. After retiring from Northern Illinois University's Loredo Taft Campus, she found new purpose at the Ogle County Solid Waste Department, always seeking ways to serve her community. Summers spent as camp hosts at Lowden State Park with Jerry were filled with adventure, friendship, and laughter, while winters in Brooksville, Florida brought cherished memories and new connections. Judy found joy in sewing and gardening, and she took delight in the beauty of birds and flowers.

Active in her community, Judy was a leader and volunteer—whether with the Ogle County Bicentennial Committee, the Blackhawk Twirlers Square Dance Club, the Rockvale Knight Owls 4-H Club, or bowling leagues. She gave her time and talents freely, inspiring others with her dedication and joyful spirit.

Judy's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She devoted herself to St. Paul Lutheran Church, working as the church's secretary, singing in the choir and serving in countless ways. Her love for her Lord and Savior was evident in her actions, her words, and the kindness she showed to all.

Judy's life was a testament to love, service, and humility. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, music, and unwavering support—a life well-lived and a heart that will be deeply missed. Her family would like to thank Serenity Hospice for their compassionate care during this journey.

A visitation will be held on February 7, 2026 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a service to follow at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 114 S. 5th Street in Oregon, Illinois with Pastor Therese Whitten officiating.
