Judy Frances Chase (Rivenbrug) of Richmondville, entered into rest on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Ellis Hospital Schenectady, New York. She was 73.

Born on April 21, 1952, in Gloversville, New York, to the late Millard and Alta (VanValkenburgh) Chase. She was the youngest of seven children.

Judy's life was marked by resilience, dedication, and a deep love for her family. In 1980, she earned her GED equivalent through the State University of New York. In 1991 she went on to build a long and fulfilling career at Universal Plastics, where she worked for 34 years. In her early years, she also served with the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, reflecting her lifelong spirit of service.

Family was at the heart of Judy's world. She is lovingly remembered by her children: daughters Stephanie (Rob) Rogers and Mary Becker, and son Ralph Rivenburg Jr. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense happiness; she cherished every moment spent with Mason (Cameron), Sophia, Anthony, Rob, Vivi, Tyson, and Zackary. From welcoming her first grandchild in 1999 to celebrating the arrival of her great-grandson in 2024, Judy embraced each milestone with warmth and joy.

Judy also shared close bonds with her nephew Albert (Cindy) Chase Jr. and cousin Joyce LaCelle. She held dear the memory of her siblings—Albert, Edward, Raymond, Virginia, Floyd, Homer Chase— and niece— Dayle Kennedy—who preceded her in death.

A woman of strong values, she supported those around her wholeheartedly. In quieter moments, Judy found comfort in simple pleasures: crafting with care and creativity; watching soap operas while cuddling with her beloved cats Rose and Ash; and spending quality time with her grandchildren who brought light into every day. She also enjoyed the many years spent with her dear friend— Karen Turner.

Her passing is a profound loss to all who knew and loved her. Judy was a cherished member of the community whose kindness left a lasting impression on many lives. She was a lifelong resident of Schoharie County

A burial service will be held at Breakabeen Cemetery in the spring to honor Judy's life and legacy.

May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire love and strength in the hearts she touched.
