Judy McVicar (Bennett), lovingly known as Judy Pearl, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Bradenton, Florida, at the age of 78. Born on April 26, 1947, in Philippi, West Virginia, Judy lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faith, and service to others.
Judy dedicated over 45 years of her life to a career in nursing, where her compassion and care touched countless lives. After retiring from her profession, she embraced a new chapter by devoting herself to helping raise her two beloved granddaughters, Elisabeth and Alexandria Lee.
A devout Christian since her radical conversion in 1979, Judy’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was deeply committed to sharing the message of Jesus with everyone she encountered. Her unwavering belief and generous heart left an indelible mark on those around her.
Judy was outgoing and charismatic; she never met a stranger. She loved gardening, crafting, and cooking meals for her family. She loved to laugh and have fun. Judy’s kindness and generosity were hallmarks of her character; she gave freely of herself to help everyone around her.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Paul; her only daughter Lora Lee; and her beloved granddaughters Elisabeth (Lee) Huffman and Alexandria Lee. Judy was predeceased by her twin brother Clyde Earl Bennett in 2016, with whom she shared a special bond (pictured above in 1985).
Judy’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May the legacy of love and faith she leaves behind bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
