Julianna Marie Martin

Julianna Marie (Kavc) Martin passed away peacefully on March 12, 2026, to join her husband, Kevin M. Martin, in heaven. She leaves behind her brother, Bill Kavc; her two children, Brittany and Michael; and her beloved granddaughters, Maren and Mia. Born on February 11, 1954, in Cleveland, Ohio, Julianna proudly attended John Marshall High School and Cuyahoga Community College, where she earned her Associate's Degree. Julianna met and married Kevin in 1988 after meeting at Winterhurst Ice Arena open skate session. Within six months they were married and off to Germany as she began her 22-year adventure as a military spouse.

Throughout her life, Julianna found every opportunity to participate and volunteer in the communities she lived in across the globe. Julianna took deep pride in raising her two children on the ice, placing their dreams and desires as the forefront of her life's purpose. Julianna volunteered her time to their schools, extracurricular activities, and many military family groups. After years of military travel, the Martins retired home to Cleveland, Ohio.

Upon retirement as an empty nester, Julianna returned to her love of horseback riding, ice skating, spending time with her dearest girlfriends. She ensured every party also had an after party, where the Stevie Wonder music was blasting and everyone would join in dancing.

Julianna is preceded in death by her husband, Kevin, her brother Robert Kavc and her parents, Gertrude (Hamper) and August Kavc. A celebration of life will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Columbia Station on March 21, 2026. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to a charity of your choosing.
