Julie Ann Fossett-Anderson

1956 - 2026

Julie Ann Fossett-Anderson was the third of four children born to Charles and Mary Ann Fossett on November 6, 1956, in Gary, Indiana.

She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1975. She worked for Majestic Star Casino and Hard Rock Casino, City of Gary Sanitary District, and Elka Day Care.

Julie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of St. John Baptist Church of Gary. Julie enjoyed reading, watching television, talking junk, cooking, reading scripture and spending time with family. She cooked some of the best food you ever had, told countless jokes, and gave tough love, but it was unconditional.

We are heartbroken to share the passing of our beloved mother, Julie Ann Fossett Anderson, who left us on April 9, 2026, at 6:17 PM central standard time at the age of 69.

To the world, she was many things—a daughter, a friend, an aunt, godmother —but to us, she was everything. She was our first home, our greatest teacher, and our constant source of love and strength. Her kindness shaped who we are, and her unwavering support carried us through every chapter of our lives.

Our mother had a way of making everyone feel seen, valued, and cared for. Whether through her warm smile, her comforting words, or the countless sacrifices she made without hesitation, she showed us what true love looks like. She taught us integrity, compassion, resilience, and the importance of family—lessons we will carry with us forever.

We will always remember her laugh, her cooking, her advice, her traditions, how to play bid. Those moments, both big and small, are now treasures we hold close in our hearts.

Though we are devastated by this loss, we find comfort in knowing that her love never leaves us. It lives on in the values she instilled, the memories we share, and the lives she touched so deeply.

Mom, thank you for everything—for your love, your sacrifices, and your endless belief in us. We are who we are because of you. We love you beyond words, and we will carry you with us always.

From the very beginning, she was more than just our sister—she was our friend, our confidant, and a constant presence in our lives. Growing up together, we shared laughter, secrets, and countless memories that we will cherish forever. She had a special way of bringing us together, reminding us of the unbreakable bond we share as family.

Julie was someone who filled every room with warmth. Her smile, laughter and kindness were unforgettable, and her heart was as generous as it was strong. She stood by us through life's highs and lows, always ready with encouragement, honesty, or simply a listening ear.

As siblings, we were lucky to know her in a way no one else could. We remember the little things—the inside jokes, the childhood adventures, the traditions we created together. Those moments are now some of our most treasured gifts.

She taught us so much about love, resilience, and what it means to truly care for others. Even in difficult times, she showed strength and grace that inspired everyone around her.

Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in knowing that her love will always remain a part of us. She helped shape who we are, and her spirit will live on in the memories we carry and the bond we continue to share.

Dear sister, thank you for the laughter, the love, and the lifetime of memories. We will miss you more than words can express, but we will carry you with us always.
