June "Juney" Gauthier
June Gauthier passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2025, after a courageous battle. She was 64 years old.
June was born on July 3, 1960, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and attended Muskego High School. To those who knew her best, she was simply "Juney." More than anything, June was a family person. Her life revolved around the people she loved, and she showed that love freely and openly. Time together mattered to her, whether it was a celebration or an ordinary day.
On June 10, 1989, June married Lyle Gauthier. Their relationship was often described as love at first sight. They fell in love on the skating rink early in their relationship. June was a devoted wife who cared deeply for her marriage and her family.
June was a proud and loving mother to her three children: Jayme Gauthier-Stout (wife, Miklyn), Jacob Gauthier, and Justin Gauthier (wife, Lina, and her son, Angel). She loved her children completely and spoke of them with pride, offering steady support and unconditional love.
Being a grandmother was one of the greatest joys of June's life. She shared an especially close bond with her grandson Wyatt, doting on him and caring for him with love, pride, and joy. Being "Grandma" was something she cherished deeply and talked about often.
Juney had a wonderful sense of humor and a great smile that could light up a room. She was warm, generous, and nonjudgmental, with a way of making people feel comfortable and welcome wherever she went. She loved to laugh, enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, and often brought joy and energy to any gathering. Whether in a big group or a quiet moment, she made people feel seen and loved.
She is survived by her husband, Lyle Gauthier; her children, Jayme Gauthier-Stout (wife, Miklyn), Jacob Gauthier, and Justin Gauthier (wife, Lina); her grandchildren, Wyatt and Angel; her mother, Carol Couillard; her siblings, Cindy Couillard (partner, Fidel), Johnny Couillard (wife, Stephanie), Raymond Couillard, and Jimmy Couillard; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends who were family in every sense of the word. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Couillard, and her brother, David Couillard.
June will be remembered for her love, her strength, and the way she showed up for the people in her life. Her memory lives on through the family she cherished and the many lives she touched.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, followed by a service at 3:00 PM, at Peace of Mind Funeral & Cremation Services, 5325 W. Greenfield Ave., West Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that support be directed toward the Gauthier family.
