Justin Paul Rogers, 27, passed away on December 10, 2025, in Eugene, Oregon. He chose to live in Oregon's Willamette Valley to enjoy Nature's bounty—fishing and hiking along the streams and rivers, surrounded by tall timber trees from the Cascades to the Pacific Coast. He was an avid fisherman, who fileted and cooked the many trout and other fish he caught. In earlier years, he taught his younger brother, Nate, and cousins, Sara, Meredith, Jared, and Jason, how to fish.
He was renowned for his cooking skills. His family and friends have wonderful memories of the many meals he prepared for them, serving an appealing balance of dishes, all seasoned to perfection with love. He shared his culinary talent with the community by working in the food service industry. He also donated his time to feed those in need by volunteering with South Brevard Sharing Center's Food Bank.
Above all, he was fiercely independent, going to live in Colorado and later to Oregon, to live a lifestyle that was not feasible for him in Florida. But no matter where he was, Justin loved using his skateboard to get around and spending time outside in the open air.
Those closest to Justin remember him for his creativity, generosity, and resilience that left a lasting impression on family, friends, and coworkers. He will be deeply missed.
Justin is survived by his mother, Amy Brown, his step-father, Larry Brown, his father, Robert Mark Rogers, brothers Mason and Nate Rogers, grandparents Eva and Harry Rogers, and grandfather Herb Wasserman. His maternal grandmother, Maxine Wasserman, preceded him in death in 2024.
