Justin Leo Roy

Justin Leo Roy, 51 of Newington, CT went home to Jesus on December 12, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born June 28, 1974, Justin spent his early years in West Hartford, CT before moving to Farmington, where he graduated from Farmington High School, class of 1993.
Justin was a devoted husband and father who loved his family deeply and worked tirelessly for them. He built a successful career as a Medical Sales Representative, most recently employed by Getinge. Known for his strong work ethic and determination, Justin earned recognition as a Top Sales Representative during his career. Even in the face of significant health challenges, he met life with remarkable strength, resilience and perseverance, continuing to push forward for the sake of his family.
Justin shared a beautiful life with his soul mate and wife of 14 years , Caroline Abt Roy, and together were raising their cherished daughter Luciana Rose.
Justin found joy in many pursuits. He was a talented cook who loved spending time in the kitchen, an avid golfer who looked forward to his summer golf leagues with friends, and a passionate football fan. He especially enjoyed playing Fantasy Football—a passion he continued to embrace even in his final weeks. Justin enjoyed all music but his passion was the Grateful Dead and sharing the joy of concerts with his friends.
Justin was known for his great sense of humor, his ability to make people laugh, and the way his warm smile could light up a room. Family and close friends held a very special place in his heart and his passing leaves a profound void in the lives of all who knew and loved him.
Justin is survived by his beloved wife of 14 years, Caroline Abt Roy; his adored daughter, Luciana Rose , his parents, Gaetan and Rose Marie Roy of Winter Haven, FL; his sisters, Michele Roy Cortigiano and her husband Chris of Otis, MA and Annette Roy Woods and her husband Andy of Burlington, CT; as well as several nieces, nephews and cherished friends. He will forever live in our hearts.
In keeping with Justin's generous spirit, he was able to give the gift of sight through eye donation.
Justin's wife was his constant source of love and strength, caring for him with unwavering devotion every step of his journey. The family also extends heartfelt gratitude to the staff at The Hospital of Central CT for their exceptional care and compassion and kindness during this difficult time.
A Celebration of life will be held in the spring.
In Lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor Justin's memory may consider making a donation to his daughter Luciana's college fund, a cause close to his heart.
