Kaleen Michelle Chase, 64, passed away on January 24, 2026, in Mesa, AZ. Born on September 22, 1961, Kaleen devoted over 30 years to teaching, primarily focusing on second and third graders at various schools including Taft, MacArthur, Emerson, Jordan, and Ida Mae Redbird. Her passion for education was paralleled by her deep faith. Kaleen was an active member of several churches throughout her life, including Church of the Redeemer, Camelback Bible, and Reformation Presbyterian Church.
Kaleen was known for her wit, intelligence, and generosity. Her commitment to her faith was profound, as she loved and followed Jesus throughout her life. Beyond her professional and spiritual commitments, she had a rich personal life filled with diverse interests. Kaleen enjoyed traveling, cross stitching, and had a history of athletic involvement; she played softball and was a gymnast in high school, specializing in Floor, Vault, and Balance Beam.
She leaves behind a loving family who will miss her deeply, including her siblings Kathy Arrowsmith (Dwaynn), Curtis Chase (Brenda), Carrie Spurlock (John), and Kimi Little (David), along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Kaleen was preceded in death by her father Pete Chase in 2018, her mother Donna Chase in 2005, her brother-in-law Dwaynn Arrowsmith in 2018, and her nephew Chandler Little in 2006.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Friday, February 27th at 11 am at Reformation Presbyterian Church, located at 11556 E. University Dr., Apache Junction, AZ 85120. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kaleen's memory to Reformation Presbyterian Church. Her legacy of faith, love, and education will continue to influence and inspire all who knew her.
