Kami Michelle Rust Edwards

Kami Michelle Rust Edwards, born on August 6, 1977, in Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Utica, Nebraska. She was 48 years old.

Kami was the proud owner of Paw Spa, her own pet grooming business. Her work reflected her deep care for animals and her joy in meeting both the pets she groomed and their owners. Through her dedication to her craft, Kami built lasting connections with those who entrusted their beloved companions to her care.

She is survived by her fiancé, Mark Wermuth; her children Joe Huffman (Callie), Jared Williamson (Makayla), Jacob Thompson, and Maddason Thompson; and ten cherished grandchildren. Kami also leaves behind her grandmother Shirlene Kendall; Mother Ann Pirnie; siblings Kirk Rust (Angela), Amy Rust, Jeff Pirnie, Jay Pirnie, Jodi Rapp (Jason), Ben Meyer, Megan Meyer, and Lauren Meyer; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins. She was predeceased by her father Roger Meyer and stepfather Ken Pirnie.

Kami’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May her legacy bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.

Celebration of Life March 28th, 2026, 11:00am-1:00pm, Raymond Woman's Club, 14701 1st St, Raymond NE 68428. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
