Karen Lee Maue, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 27, 2026, at home after a long illness resulting in pneumonia. Karen will be truly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by daughter Pamela Michelle Cutler, husband Philip Douglas Cutler, her parents Anne and HW (Tommy) Thompson, sister Janet Pevey, brother Sam Thompson. She is survived by her daughter Mollie Tyre (Buford), grandson Aaron Shepard, nephews Cody and Ichabod Fouraker, numerous cousins and friends.
Karen retired from Ryder Truck Rental in 2011 after 25 years of service and enjoyed working with the staff and drivers alike. She had a love for cats and owned numerous cats during her lifetime. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a local Humane Society or Wounded Warriors as those were her favorite charities.
