Karen Kay Monroe

Karen Kay Monroe, 63, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in Mayfield, Kentucky.

Karen was born in Lansing, Michigan, on July 19, 1962, to Linda and A.J. Monroe.

She is survived by her children: Brad Cease; Nick (Regan) Cease; Lacey (Peter) Peterson; and Rachel Rice.
She is also survived by her brothers, Andy (Kristen) Monroe, and John (Mary) Monroe; her grandchildren, Hannah, Mason, Landon, Suzanne, and A.J., and her great-grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephew.

Karen will be remembered for her youthful spirit and love of family and friends.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caregivers and staff who supported Karen over the years, including those who ensured her safety and care during difficult times.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
