The world lost one of its most colorful characters when Karl Arthur Roggensee, born August 8th, 1954 in Darmstadt, Germany, played his final hand December 4th, 2025 in San Tan Valley, AZ.
Karl spent a lifetime mastering produce management, using skills so precise and dramatic they might qualify as performance art. He could spot a bad melon like most people notice traffic lights. He also took great pride in the customers he met daily, making sure to treat each one like family.
He confidently strolled into the afterlife asking where the VIP blackjack tables were before anyone could say "welcome." He had a passion for Blackjack, Poker, and Sports Betting, activities he pursued with enthusiasm, optimism, and logic that occasionally defied both math and physics.
Karl is preceded in death by his parents Ronald J. Roggensee and Anna Sheib Roggensee. Survived by his wife of 18 years Terry Roggensee, and two truly exceptional sons Jason Ronald Roggensee and Ryan Arthur Roggensee (Pauline).
Karl adored his grandchildren with absolute devotion Jack Roggensee (17), Quinn Roggensee (4), and Ava Kubik (15). Karl also leaves behind his partner in crime, Leanne Frederick, whose friendship brought him laughter, companionship, and enough joyful mischief to fill several lifetimes.
Karl lived boldly, laughed loudly, gambled wholeheartedly, and loved fiercely. He exits this world the same way he lived in it, full of personality, humor, and the quiet confidence that the next hand might just be the jackpot.
May he rest in peace, surrounded by perfect produce, lucky cards, and celestial dealers who finally give him the win he spent a lifetime chasing.
