Send Flowers Plant A Tree
In Loving Memory of Karla Herrboldt

Karla was born on December 13, 1956, and crossed over on January 15, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to family and friends.

Born in Yankton, South Dakota at Sacred Heart Hospital, Karla was the daughter of Duane and Violet Olson. She was preceded in death by her father, Duane, and is survived by her husband, Rod Herrboldt; her mother, Violet Olson; her brothers, Dale (Ann), Warren (Roxane), and Kevin (Tara) Olson; her daughter, Katie Scott, and son-in law Troy Scott; her son, Josh Herrboldt; and her cherished grandchildren, Ezekiel and Cadence Scott. She is also lovingly remembered by her many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

For nearly 30 years, Karla dedicated herself to her work as a computer analyst for Kern County, where she built not only a career, but lasting friendships.

Karla found her greatest joy in life's simple and meaningful moments. She loved tending to her garden, sharing laughter over luncheons with friends, feeling the peace of ocean breezes, reading books, spending time with animals, and most of all, being present for every activity, milestone, and moment in her grandchildren's lives. Her family was her heart, and she showed her love through her constant support, gentle encouragement, and warm presence.

Karla will be remembered for her generous spirit, her quiet strength, and the love she gave so freely. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the stories shared, the gardens tended, the ocean waves remembered, the books read, the animals loved, and the lives she touched so profoundly.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on February 16, 2026 at Monarch Memorial, 2801 F Street, Bakersfield, CA 93301. We kindly request a RSVP if you plan to attend: https://evite.me/mEMKYMf639
