Katherine Elladean Hunter Holman, age 89, of Donelson, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ilus Hunter and Cora Beatrice Martin Hunter; her sisters, Kellene Long, Kazell Ridge, Carol Miles, and Kathy Lane; and her brothers, Kenneth Hunter and Kelly Hunter.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years, Edward Holman; her daughters, Sheila (Mike) Yarbrough and Kimberly Holman; her granddaughter, Elizabeth (Jason Egly) Yarbrough; her grandson, Hunter (Sarah) Yarbrough; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister, Karen (Steve) Schanke.
Katherine was born and raised in Allons, Tennessee, and was a graduate of Livingston Academy. She married the love of her life, Edward, 70 years ago and devoted herself wholeheartedly to caring for her family. She was especially known for her love of baking and her warm hospitality. Katherine was a faithful member of Hermitage Hills Baptist Church and was actively involved in the Pennington Bend Home Demonstration Club and the Garden Club.
The family extends their sincere gratitude to the caregivers, friends, and family members who lovingly supported Katherine and her loved ones during the past two years following her dementia decline.
Funeral visitation will be held at Hall's Funeral Home in Livingston, Tennessee, on Friday, December 26, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., the funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m and interment immediately following at Hunter Cove Cemetery.
