Katherine Maude (Kiley) Keizer of Watertown, Massachusetts, died peacefully on January 1, 2026, after a life marked by love, resilience, and devotion to others. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and her presence will be deeply missed.

Born August 16, 1939, in Somerville, Massachusetts, to Daniel and Maude (MacDonald) Kiley, Katherine was known for her kindness, generosity, free spirit, and infectious humor. She loved music, dancing, the ocean, and classic Hollywood movies, and held a lifelong passion for standing up for underserved people and animals.

Katherine's impact came from the quiet, everyday ways she cared for others. She treasured her family deeply, delighting in time spent with her siblings and ensuring everyone felt included and loved. She cared for her ailing mother, her youngest sister, Carol, and her aunt, Margaret, when they needed help. Her compassion extended to the stray cats and dogs she encountered, and she always found ways to help animals in need. Katherine made a difference through simple acts of kindness - whether packing the family into the station wagon for a beach day or ensuring her family could experience the Boston Pops at the Bicentennial. She believed everyone deserved to share in life's joys.

Katherine is survived by her children: son Christopher Keizer and wife Lisa of Dedham; daughters Andrea (Keizer) and husband T.J. Randall of Plymouth, and Jennifer Keizer and husband Kelsey Roth of Worcester; grandchildren Zachary and his wife Mazie, Abigail, and Cydney and her partner, Marisa Randall. She is also survived by her brother Daniel Kiley of West Dennis, and loving nieces and nephews of the Hauswirth, Kiley, and Sheehan families.

She was predeceased by her beloved siblings, Rose Sheehan, Elizabeth Hauswirth, Carol Kiley, and Thomas Kiley; her former husband, Louis (Ray) Keizer; and her longtime companion, Sydney W. Cox.

The family is grateful to LifeLine for always answering Katherine's calls for help, and to the Watertown Fire Department and EMS for their compassion and skill during her recent health challenges.

A brief graveside gathering will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge, MA, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 10 am. There will be no funeral home services or viewing.
