Kathy (Katherine) Stevenson, 64, of Roseville, California, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2025. Born on May 24, 1961, in Harbor City, California, she lived a life marked by kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to her family and friends. Kathy had a natural “it factor”, a warmth and presence that drew people to her and made them want to be part of her world.
Kathy embraced life fully. She treasured her children and grandchildren. She was the best Grandmama. She loved to travel and was a competitive and accomplished tennis and pickleball player. She was an exceptional athlete in nearly every sport she tried. At the time of her passing, she was transitioning into retirement and cherishing more time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Kathy was a devoted and highly respected employee for Nolte Engineering / NV5 for 32 years. As a Controller she was known for her meticulous work ethic. She was a hands-on supervisor who mentored and supported her staff, and when required, she collaborated closely with the executive team as a subject matter expert on complex accounting matters.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Brian; her daughter, Amber Dewey, her husband, Kevin; her son, Cory Gierczak, his wife, Rana; her grandchildren, Clara and Alice Dewey, and Chloe Gierczak; her brother, Jeff Rudie, and his family; and her sister, Connie Toste, and her family.
A Memorial / Celebration of Life with family and friends will be held on July 26, 2026.
She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.
