Kathleen Susan Hamrick

Kathleen Susan Hamrick, age 73, of Belcamp, MD, passed away on January 31, 2026. Born on December 21, 1952, Kathleen dedicated her life to caring for others, both through her professional career and personal endeavors.
Kathleen graduated from Perry Hall High School and furthered her education by earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Morgan State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Nursing from Villa Julie College. She spent many years at Union Memorial Hospital, where she was not only a nurse but also a nurse supervisor, respected by her colleagues for her dedication and compassion.
Her life was marked by a profound commitment to her faith, actively participating in Towson Church of Christ, Grace Community Church, and Mountain Christian Church. Kathleen was a nurturing figure, known for her generosity and her role as a caregiving hostess who cherished family gatherings. Her love for cats was well known, as was her enthusiasm for travel and Bible study.
Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald F. and Jean W. Clark, and her brother, Gerald M. Clark. She is survived by her sister, Deborah Purkey, her brother, Thomas Clark, six nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her deeply.
A service to celebrate Kathleen's life will be held on March 28th at 10:30 AM at Walker Chapel of Mountain Christian Church, 1824 Mountain Rd., Joppa, MD 21085. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Kathleen's memory can be made to Mountain Christian Church at the same address or to Jones Family Farm, 2100 Philadelphia Rd., Joppa, MD.
