Kathleen Marie Halley, known affectionately as Kathy, passed away on February 12, 2026, in Yucaipa, CA, at the age of 73. Born on July 29, 1952, Kathy was a dynamic individual whose talents spanned baking, sewing, carpentry, and computer skills. Despite facing medical challenges from a young age, she showcased remarkable resilience and determination, famously winning races on Soley St. in her wheelchair, impressing everyone with her spirited wheelies.
Kathy was a proud alumna of St. Mary's School in Charlestown, MA, and St. Julie Billiart Central High School in the North End of Boston. She furthered her education in Computer Science, which paved the way for her successful career in the industry, contributing significantly in both Boston, MA, and California.
Kathy's personal life was enriched by her deep Catholic faith and her engagement in spiritual practices. In her retirement, she found joy in dining out, playing strategic card and board games, and later, electronic games. She also cherished the company of her kittens, which brought much happiness and comfort to her later years.
Kathy leaves behind a loving family, including her siblings Ruth Kucherer (John) of Yucaipa, CA; Robert Halley (Diana) of Malden, MA; Diane Kozlowski (Jim) of Melrose, MA; and David Halley of Tampa, FL, along with her brother-in-law Charles Kozlowski (Jessica) of Manchester, NH. She was a beloved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Cecilia Halley (Maguire) and William Halley (Bunker) as well as her brother Michael Halley, all from Charlestown, MA.
In line with her wishes, services for Kathy will be held privately. Kathy's life was marked by her vibrant spirit, resilience, and the deep bonds she forged with those around her. Her memory will undoubtedly continue to inspire and resonate with all who knew her.
