Kathleen "Katie" Hyde passed away peacefully at her home on March 3, 2026 at the age of 71 surrounded by her loving family.

Katie was happiest basking in the warmth of the sun, chasing new adventures and traveling to distant places. She was always ready to pack a bag and explore the beauty the world had to offer or simply enjoying the Florida sunshine from her favorite beach.

Katie was a devoted and loving mother to her daughter, Alicia, who was the center of her world and the greatest source of her pride and joy. They had an undeniable bond like no other.

Katie shared a special bond with her niece and nephews as well and cherished the moments she spent with them and their growing families.

Katie brought laughter and energy wherever she went and will be remembered for her fun-loving spirit, her love of the ocean and sunsets, and the effect she had on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed.

The family requests that donations be made in Katie's memory to Council on Aging of Martin County, Florida, a cause that supports the community Katie called home by enriching the lives of local seniors.
