Kathleen Mary Concannon Maloney, 64, passed away in Plainsboro, NJ, on January 31, 2026, after a short illness with Metastatic Melanoma. She was born in Englewood, NJ on October 21, 1961, to Edwin Francis Concannon and Patricia Naughton Concannon.
Kathleen was raised in Guttenberg, NJ, and graduated from North Bergen High School in 1979. She worked for Xerox Corp, in Manhattan, as a Customer Service Manager, from 1980-1991. In 1982, Kathleen met her husband Joesph at Xerox when someone asked her to show Joe around. Joseph and Kathleen were married in April of 1988. They moved to Howell, NJ, where they raised their family. Kathleen worked for The Asbury Park Press in Neptune, NJ, for almost twenty years. Kathleen was most recently the Vice President of Mobility for Century21 Action Plus Realty in Freehold, NJ.
Kathleen was a member of Christ Church in Montclair, NJ.
Kathleen is predeceased by her husband of 23 years, Joseph; her parents; and her sister Eva Marie Concannon, who died in 1996.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Kelly Kathleen Goleskie of Bordentown, NJ, and her granddaughter Kayla; her niece, Stacey Lamb of Mililani, Hawaii and Stacey's children, Eva and Jameson - who called Kathleen "Aunty Grandma."
Kathleen felt blessed to have two best friends for more than fifty years, Kathleen Philpott and Carol Callahan, both from Livingston, NJ. Kathleen treasured their long-lasting friendships.
After her husband died, Kathleen traveled to Ireland for the first time in 2012. She grew to deeply love Ireland and visited all 32 counties in her 16 visits to Ireland. Kathleen discovered her roots in Ireland and visited the villages of her ancestors. According to Ancestry.com, Kathleen was 100 percent Irish, and she was very proud of it.
Kathleen was a life-long animal lover, and she enjoyed traveling.
She also loved visiting Italy, Greece and Alaska.
