Kathleen Messier (Duclos)

Kathleen Messier (Duclos), age 64, passed away on January 9, 2026.

Kathleen was born in Buena Park, California, and grew up in Fall River, Massachusetts. She carried a deep love for family and found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren, cherishing every moment she shared with them. One of her favorite simple pleasures was sitting on the porch, soaking up the sun, enjoying the peace of the day.

Kathleen is survived by her husband, Richard Messier; her daughters, Rhonda Duclos and Brittany Duclos; her step-sons, Richard Messier Jr. (wife, Melissa) and Daniel Messier (wife, Nicole); and her ten beloved grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Pauline Messier and Sheila Horton, and her parents, Dorothy and Edward.

A memorial service to celebrate Kathleen’s life will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the Westport VFW, 843 State Rd., Westport, MA 02790. Family, friends, and all who loved her are invited to join in remembering her warmth and the joy she brought to their lives.
