Kathleen Marie Smith-Denson, born September 14, 1964, in Minot, North Dakota, passed away on November 24, 2025, in Conway, Arkansas. Raised in Oxnard, California, Kathleen was a proud graduate of Hueneme High School, Class of 1982.
Throughout her life, she was known for her warm spirit, unwavering loyalty, and the deep, steady faith that shaped the way she loved and cared for others. Her walk with Christ remained central to her life, reflected in the time she spent as part of several church communities.
Kathleen was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 3935 Ladies Auxiliary, where she served with dedication and a genuine heart, always eager to support veterans, families, and her community.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Lucielle Smith (née Friess); her father, Glenburn Bradshaw Smith; and her sisters, Theresa Marie and Tamra Elizabeth. She is survived by her son, Royce Oliver Denson; her grandson, Rusty Allen Denson-Smith (mother Amanda Monique Williamson); her sisters, Patricia Ann Birdwell and Laura Lee Burwick; her brother, Glenburn Bradshaw Smith and his wife, Tina; and by nieces Kathleen, Wynter, Sarah, Jessica, Amanda, Jillian, Lynsey, nephews Noah, Anthony and Josh, cousins, great-neices & nephews, and many lifelong friends who will forever carry her memory with them.
Kathleen will be interred at Calvary Cemetery in Tacoma, Washington, resting beside her sister Tamra. Her family and friends take comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her, and that her legacy of faith, compassion, and resilience will continue in the lives of all who were blessed to know her.
