Kathleen Thomblison Thompson

1947 - 2026

It is with great sadness we announce the death of Kathleen Thomblison Thompson on March 5th 2026. Kathleen was born to Stewart William Thomblison and Ella Mae (nee Stallings) Thomblison on March 11, 1947 in Panama City, Florida. The family soon moved to Alaska where Kathleen learned the hard way about "land of the midnight sun", arguing she should be able to go out and play at 2:00 in the morning since it was sunny!
When her father died in 1951 her mother moved the family to Arizona. She lived there until they moved to Arkansas where she attended Springdale High School, graduating with the class 1965. Kathleen was an ardent fan of education, going to classes at numerous institutions. She was especially proud of her advanced degree in mathematics from the University of Tulsa in 1975
Kathleen was a lifelong Presbyterian. She was an active and cherished member in many churches that she joined or visited during her many moves. She attended the Gathering several times, as well as other national and local events.
Kathleen was an artist at heart and explored many modalities of creativity. She made furniture, created stained glass art, knitted numerous scarves and sweaters, tatted lace, and crocheted many items. She loved to weave and owned several looms upon which she fashioned scarves and shawls.
Kathleen is survived by siblings William (wife Pam) and Patricia Thomblison; daughter Jules Parrish (husband Ebson); and grandchildren James Aaron, Patrick Aarong, Spencer Aaron (wife Melanie), Lelee Parrish, and great granddaughter Juliana Aaron. She also leaves behind many nephews and nieces.
