Kathryn Marie Dover

Kathryn “Katie” Marie Dover, 42, passed away on February 24, 2026, in York, South Carolina. Born on August 7, 1983, Katie was the beloved daughter of Donna Marie Knight and the late Albert Eugene "Gene" Dover.

Katie was a loving and dedicated mother to her three sons, James, Samual (Sam), and Riley. She also cherished her role as a sister to Melissa Dover Wells (Tony), Megan Dover Newell (Willie), and Bobby Dover. She is survived by her grandmother, Mildred S. Knight; her uncle Gary Knight; her nieces Kayla, Haley, and Natalie; her nephews Ryan, Mason, and Tucker; great-nephew Greyson Kol; and many cousins, all of whom held a special place in her heart. Katie was preceded in death by her cherished granddaughter, Madelyn McConnell.

Known for her quick wit, boundless generosity, and a heart full of love, Katie brought joy and laughter to those around her. Despite facing significant health challenges she remained steadfast in her devotion to her family and lived with an enduring spirit of resilience.
