Kathy Brackett

Kathy Brackett, born on April 1, 1959 in Section, Alabama, was sent to her eternal home in Heaven on March 17, 2026 following a hard-fought battle with congestive heart failure. She passed peacefully at Baptist Hospital in Louisville, KY.
Kathy was an exceptionally devoted mother, grandmother, wife and friend. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of all who experienced her vibrance, humor and undeniable love. We ask that you not remember the way Kathy passed when you think of her, but of the strength, warmth and devotion that her heart held before ultimately failing her earthly body.
Kathy is survived by her husband of 34 years, Ron Brackett; her daughters Nicki (Allen) Greenwell and Bobbi Canha; grandchildren Jacob and Hunter Greenwell and Kelsey Canha. Her children and grandchildren were the absolute light of her life and everyone who knew Kathy, knew how much they meant to her. She is also survived by her siblings, Jim Blackwell, Kenneth Blackwell and Helen Swindall.
Through this time of incredible loss, Kathy will be remembered fondly by family and friends privately. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.
