Kathy Northrup

Kathy Northrup, 65, of Taylorville, Illinois, formerly of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on December 14, 2025.

Kathy was born on July 23, 1960, in Springfield, Illinois, to Harold and Mary (Minix) Smith.

She is survived by her first husband, Thomas Cleghorn Sr.; her mother, Mary Ann Smith; her children, JoAnn (Leland) Hutchison, Ben (Cynthia) Felber, Regina (Michael Dunn) Cleghorn, and Renee (Jacob) Butler; her grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Kaitlyn, Kade, Lincoln, and Kolson; her siblings, Susan (Linda Green) Martin and Donnie (Rhonda) Martin; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Corey Northrup; her father, Harold Smith; her brother, Albert "Red" Martin; her nephew, Kenny Martin; her grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.

She will be remembered for her love of family and the special bond she shared with her children and grandchildren. Kathy's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
