Kay L. Bunbury passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 19, in her home. She was born on August 3, 1948, in Dodgeville, WI, to Raymond and Marie (Lonergan) Bunbury.
Kay spent her early years on her family's farm in Ridgeway and attended Fairview, a one-room schoolhouse in Barneveld. When she was in seventh grade, her family moved to Madison, where Kay attended Blessed Sacrament School and later graduated from Edgewood High School in 1967.
During high school, Kay met Robert "Bob" Crawford. After graduating, they married and together raised three children. Kay was a devoted, loving, and wonderful mother and homemaker. In addition to caring for her family, she worked for many years at Suby, Von Haden & Associates.
Kay enjoyed gardening, traveling - her favorite place to go was Ireland, baking, and spending time with friends and family—especially playing cards. Above all else, she cherished her children and grandchildren and was incredibly proud of each of them.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Donna Pittz (William) and Patricia Logli; her brothers, Ronald, Raymond, and Blaine Bunbury; and the father of her children, Robert Crawford.
She is survived by her children: Stuart Jason Crawford (Michele), Andrew Robert Crawford (Madeline), and Katie Colleen Crawford (Jesse Bergeron); her seven grandchildren: Aislin (Josh), Samuel, Liam, and Rowan Crawford, and Brenden, Devin, and Tayven Bergeron; her sister, Colleen Conrad (John); her sisters- and brother-in-law, Ginny, Linda, and Nancy Bunbury, and John Logli; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kay will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held this summer, with details to be shared at a later time.
