Kaye Fulton, 86, passed away on March 3, 2026 in Lampasas, Texas. She was born on February 25, 1940 in San Diego, California to Paul and Mary (Sutton) Belt.

A memorial service will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Home 1614 S FM 116, Copperas Cove, TX 76522 beginning at 11 am March 19, 2026. A visitation will be held at the same location at 10 am to 11 am March 19, 2026. The family will be greeting friends and relatives at the visitation. Burial will follow with a 1 pm Graveside Service at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, 11463 TX-195, Killeen, TX.

Kaye grew up in California, Washington, and Idaho. She met Ernest “Ernie” Fulton in Oceanside, CA in Spring 1957. They were married the next spring on March 14, 1958 in Oceanside, CA and remained happily married for 68 years. Kaye and Ernie relocated to Georgetown, TX in 1958, and then to Copperas Cove, TX in 1961. During this time, she also completed her GED and worked for 20+ years for the Copperas Cove Independent School District and Project Head Start prior to retiring. She was a long-time member of and volunteer at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Copperas Cove, TX. She loved to spend time with her husband traveling to visit family and camping throughout Texas and the USA. In addition to spending time with her children, grandchildren, and pets, she enjoyed baking, sewing, and gardening. Kaye was a loving wife and mother of 4 children, 10 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for the deep love and care she gave to family and friends, her infectious smile, and her sense of humor.

Kaye was preceded in death by her parents Paul Belt and Mary (Sutton) Belt, her sisters Mary (Belt) Lopez and Nora (Belt) Noble, and her brother Paul Belt.

Kaye is survived by her spouse Ernest “Ernie” Fulton of Copperas Cove, TX, her daughter Yvonne (Dave) Welsh of Kansas City, KS; Tim Fulton of New Mexico, David (Nancy Hovanes) Fulton, Minneapolis, MN; and Mike (Christine) Fulton of New York, NY. Her grandchildren Aimee, Stephanie, Ryan, Zachary, Lauren, Hannah, Max, Jacob, Samuel, and Asa; great-grandchildren Alyssa, Kayla, AdaLou, and Erlie; her brother Frank Belt of CA and sister Yvonne (Earl) Sullivan of MT, and her many nieces and nephews and other relatives.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of your choice in Kaye’s name.
