Keith Bucknell, 76, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Modesto, California. Born on April 29, 1949, in Denver, Colorado, Keith lived a life marked by curiosity, dedication, and a deep appreciation for both the natural world and the written word.

Keith graduated from Luther Burbank High School and went on to earn a degree in history from California State University, Sacramento. His love of learning and exploration was evident throughout his life—whether through books or travel.

He spent the majority of his professional life working in the auto parts business across Sacramento, Roseville, and Calaveras County. Known for his reliability and knowledge in the field, Keith built lasting relationships with colleagues and customers alike during his long career.

In recent years, Keith found great joy traveling across the country in his motorhome. Over the past four years, he visited numerous National Parks and monuments, embracing the freedom of the open road and the beauty of America's landscapes. These adventures were a source of happiness and reflection for him.

Keith had a lifelong passion for sports. He played basketball recreationally and enjoyed fishing trips and skiing excursions to Bear Valley. A devoted fan of San Francisco's teams—the 49ers and the Giants—he followed their seasons with enthusiasm.

Avid about reading, Keith made weekly visits to Calaveras County libraries. Books were a constant companion throughout his life, feeding his intellect and imagination.

He is lovingly remembered by his daughters Annie and Erin; granddaughter Lexi; brother Robert; sister-in-law Dianne; sister Patricia; nephew Gabe; nieces Glorie and Angie; as well as six great-nieces and nephews. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

May his memory bring comfort to those who shared in his journey.
